Chicago Transit Authority (CTA): Deployed 1500 PC’s in CTA’s new Corp. building.
Previously wor
ked as a LAN/WAN Administrator migrating NetWare 4.11 to 5.0, 
then deploying desktops.

¨ Chicago Public Schools: {CPS} Successfully completed seven-month project assessing schools, creating accurate reports and maintaining the school databases on a Fuji P600 tablet. Managed and engineered LAN/PWR AS-Builts for numerous contractors. 
Created ACAD drawings on 24” x 36” and provided documentation per CPS guidelines.

¨ Dell: Performed Pre-Sites & installations of Win 2K Server networks w/DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.

¨ CNA, Insurance: Worked with different Chicago teams to migrate over 3,000 PCs 
to Win XP, helping CNA to reach their goal of migrating 15,000 PC's.

¨ Misc: Installed & setup numerous Macs {G3, G4} w/Virex as standalones and to NT4 Servers.

  Designed / Re-engineered the LAN/WAN (Including WiFi-Wireless Networks) infrastructure for the Capital Improvement {E-Rate} Program in the unique environment of 
CPS-Chicago Public Schools, utilizing a Fiber Optic 100BaseFX backbone.
Almost all of the designs were unique to each school due to the fact that the principals would upgrade their schools independently.
¨  Created the design drawings and documentation for integrating the existing systems into the new scope of work. Used ACAD 2K and Visio 5.0c to create MDF racks & room layouts.
¨  As the Managing Architect {MA}, managed, consulted and verified designs by other engineering firms, then oversaw the projects to ensure that the contractors responsible for the installations professionally installed them within the CPS guidelines.       
¨  Became familiar with Cisco 29xx & 3640 switches & routers, Cisco, 3Com & Apple Wireless products, Digikey, Intel, & SMC hubs, so as to blend the old and new technologies smoothly.
Through efforts extending outside the workplace,
secured a
