summer 2003

the big unveil! - by July 2003, the pond looked outstanding.

	We must have done something right, because by the first week of June 2003 we had a pair of ducks attempt to take up residence. They were pretty but we succeeded in discouraging them.
	June 9th 2003 - we added hostas and ferns up by the sump outlet and box and the flagstone bridge was so pretty. it was a wet spring and the pond overflowed as planned, creating our new wetland.
	June 14th 2003 - we seeded up by edge of the pond for lawn grass. meanwhile in the background are our new water-loving plants, waiting for the pond overflow.
	July 9th 2003 - the cattails in the pond (in a container) really took off. we had added a new latticework screening for the corner of the garage, where we keep the garbage and dressed up the garage windows with shutters.
